The Custom Jewelry Making Process

  Your custom logo jewelry design is usually sketched on paper and then a model is hand carved from special wax.  This original wax model is then destroyed by extreme heat in the casting process.  This process is called "lost wax casting".  The How Custom Jewelry is Made  page has a detailed discussion of this jewelry making process.  The jewelry designer carves each wax model of the ring or pendant individually for an original design.

  Your custom creation could be almost any type of jewelry such as a ring, pendant or pin.  Tony can make a sketch of your custom jewelry for your approval.  During the wax carving process he can send you pictures through email of how your custom jewelry is made.  This service helps to ensure that you will have a piece of custom made jewelry you designed to treasure for many years to come.

  If you would like multiple copies of your custom logo jewelry a rubber mold can be made of the original.  This mold is used to make the additional pieces of jewelry.  The labor charge is then much less for the additional copies than for the original.

Custom Jewelry Prices

  The price for your custom logo jewelry will depend on the complexity of the design, what precious metal is used and whether any gemstones are included in the design.  For a simple custom ring the labor charge to carve, cast and finish begins at $250.  The labor charge for a simple custom pendant or pin starts at  $150.

  The cost of the precious metal will depend on the type and its weight, as well as current market conditions.  Your custom logo design can be cast in either sterling silver, 10 or 14 karat yellow or white gold or platinum.  Diamonds and other gemstones can be provided to use in your jewelry at a reasonable price.
